sitcomreviews: New Girl Season 1Score: 4/10 Listen, New Girl is aiming to be the new Friends. Do we need a new Friends? I can see ladies being more about this show than I am. Personally, I don’t enjoy shows about “lovable douchebags.” And this show has douchebaggery in spades. While that might be a creative choice, it is not an excuse to get lazy. When someone yells, “We are stranded in the desert!” they should make sure a busy I-10 isn’t in the shot. This is a show that celebrates unintelligence — of its characters, and of its audience.
